• you can send the same  message to multiple people 
• more instant reply's in anytime of the day or night

Disadvantages

• you can get hacked and people can find out your personal information. 
• people could copy your work on blogger.
•  you could be talking to strangers (pedophile)
• no social communication 
•  you can get distracted 
• you could easily get threatened if you go on webcam with a pedophile
